Two of MIMOS’s own designers, Saharudin Busri, Senior Staff Engineer, and Nizam Najmuddin, Senior Engineer, conducted the MIMOS Industrial Design Training Session for about 30 Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI) students on 16 December 2024.
The two-day event was designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience for UniKL students, exposing them to key concepts in industrial design and how emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), are revolutionising the design process.
Students spent the day digital sketching, explored the Testing and Prototyping Laboratory where designs come to life, and delved into sketching techniques in AI and 3D modelling in virtual reality (VR).
The MIMOS Industrial Design Training Session offered a valuable opportunity for aspiring designers to gain insights into the real-world applications of industrial design. This programme aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice, exposing students to the diverse roles industrial designers play and exploring the exciting intersection of design and artificial intelligence (AI).
