Ts. Ir. Dr. Nordin Ramli, FASc, Principal Researcher and Head of Technology Diplomacy at MIMOS Berhad, proudly represented Malaysia at the inaugural ceremony of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ2025), held at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, Geneva, Switzerland on 21 February 2025.

This event, marking the centennial of quantum mechanics, brought together esteemed scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, and educators to discuss the transformative potential of Quantum Science and Technology (QST) and its strategic role in future development. Dr. Nordin participated in a forum focused on addressing educational gaps in QST titled, ‘Quantum Science and Technologies for All’.

During the forum, Dr. Nordin outlined Malaysia’s vision for quantum technology, emphasising MIMOS’s role as a national leader in quantum research, development, and commercialisation. He highlighted the launch of the MIMOS Quantum Intelligence Centre during MIMOS Quantum Day 2025, scheduled for 25 February 2025, at MIMOS Berhad.

This participation reinforces Malaysia’s position as a key player in the international quantum landscape and aligns with the nation’s strategic initiatives to advance frontier technologies.
