His journey in the financial sector began in 1991 with a Diploma in Accountancy from MARA Institute of Technology, followed by a Degree in Accountancy from De Montfort University, UK, and an ACCA qualification from Emile Woolf College, UK. Starting at a Big 5 audit firm, he gained solid audit, tax, and corporate recovery expertise.
In 1999, Abdul Rashdee joined MIMOS, a leading applied research and development institution in Malaysia. He has made substantial contributions to the organisation, steadily progressing through different roles. Throughout his tenure, Abdul Rashdee has excelled in finance, strategic management, and corporate services.
Abdul Rashdee currently serves as the Head of the Governance Sector, where he supervises essential functions including Finance, Shared Services, Procurement, Human Capital, Corporate Communications, Facilities, IT Operations, Project Management Office, Operations and Method, and Business Continuity Management.
In addition to his role as sector head, Abdul Rashdee also holds the crucial role of Chief Risk Officer. He serves as the Chairman of the MIMOS Procurement Planning Committee, playing a vital part in steering strategic decisions and enhancing procurement excellence within the organisation.
