In May, a productive and promising bilateral meeting unfolded between Malaysia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – YB Tuan Chang Lih Kang, Malaysia’s Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), engaged in discussions with His Excellency Dr Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Trade. The meeting focused on exploring potential collaborations across a spectrum of fields, including hydrogen technology, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology, to name a few.
Both leaders expressed a strong commitment to advancing their Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) sectors, aiming to bring mutual benefits to their respective countries through strategic partnerships. The discussions highlighted the shared interests and aspirations of Malaysia and Saudi Arabia in harnessing technological advancements for economic growth and societal development.
During the meeting, Dr Saat Shukri Embong, Acting President and CEO of MIMOS Berhad, contributed insights into potential collaborations in semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence. These discussions set the stage for exciting opportunities and future initiatives that promise to elevate both nations’ capabilities in cutting-edge technologies.
