About

  • DOE is a powerful tool for problem-solving and process improvement because it allows organizations to systematically explore and understand complex relationships between variables, optimize processes, reduce variability, and make data-driven decisions. It is particularly valuable in industries where the cost of experimentation or the impact of process changes is high, as it helps to maximize the value of each experiment conducted.
  • This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to plan, conduct, and analyze experiments using DOE methodologies to improve processes and products quality.

Who should attend:

  • Executives, engineers and managers from any organizations.

Course duration:

  • 2 days

Learning Outcome

  • Describe the terminology, key basics, strategy and methodology of Design of Experiment (DoE).
  • Describe and outline the methodology and steps to conduct 2 levels full and fractional factorial Design.
  • Create design matrix for experiments.
  • Conduct and interpret analysis results (graphical and numerical) produced by Minitab Statistical Software.
  • Draw conclusion for screening and optimization.

Introduction to MSA:

  • Understanding the fundamentals of DOE. Historical context and key principles

Why Use DOE?

  • Benefits and advantages of using DOE in product and process development. Examples of successful DOE applications.

DOE Terminology and Definitions :

  • Introduction to DOE-specific terminology and concepts, including factors, levels, repeats & replicates, randomization & blocking, design matrix & resolution, responses, and interactions.

Full Factorial Designs with practical exercise:

  • In-depth exploration of full factorial designs, including their advantages and limitations.
