The MIMOS Technology Review (MTR) 2025, an internal event for MIMOSians, highlighted 31 ground-breaking projects focused on energy efficiency, healthcare, palm oil automation, manufacturing, public services, and public safety. Projects spanning these diverse sectors demonstrated MIMOS’s commitment to developing cutting-edge technologies with real-world impact.
PocketTalk sessions and expert judging contributed to the event’s success, illustrating the innovative spirit and technical prowess within MIMOS.
The event culminated in an award ceremony recognising outstanding projects.
- UV Curable Silver Conductive Ink (Mi_UV AgPrink) won the Go-To-Market Award, recognised as the project with the strongest potential for commercialisation.
- Edge-Based Sensor Fusion received the Best Presentation Award, for effective storytelling and captivating the audience with a clear, passionate, and well-structured presentation.
- The Reagentless Vital Sign Analyser (REVA) earned the Best Showcase Award, celebrating the most visually engaging and informative booth, one that successfully attracted visitors and effectively communicated the project’s impact.
Each team won RM1,000 in cash, a well-deserved recognition of their hard-earned achievements.
The event was made even more memorable by notable figures, including YABhg Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Dr Wan Ismail, wife to PMX; Dato’ Ts. Dr. Hj. Aminuddin Hassim, Secretary General, MOSTI; His Excellency Karomidin Gadoev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia; Dr Jasmine Begum, Chairperson of MIMOS, and Tan Eng Tong, MIMOS Board Member, took a tour of MTR 2025 over the two-day showcase.
