MIMOS launched Malaysia’s first Quantum Intelligence Centre at MIMOS Quantum Day 2025, officiated by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), YB Tuan Chang Lih Kang. The centre will focus on R&D, talent development, and industry collaboration to position Malaysia as a leader in quantum technology.
A key highlight was the signing of a teaming agreement between MIMOS and SDT Inc. of Korea to establish Malaysia’s ‘Quantum Valley’, a hub for quantum R&D and innovation. The event also featured discussions on quantum computing, communication, and security, with insights from global experts and industry leaders.
Dr. Saat Shukri Embong, Acting President & Group CEO of MIMOS, emphasised the event’s role in shaping Malaysia’s digital future, while Mr. Jiwon Yune, CEO of SDT Inc., reaffirmed their commitment to advancing quantum intelligence in Malaysia.
With the theme ‘Shaping the Future with Quantum Intelligence,’ the event brought together over 200 participants including global experts, industry leaders, and policymakers to nurture Malaysia’s quantum talent pipeline and accelerate the country’s rise as Asia’s quantum innovation hub.
