Malaysia’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation research agency MIMOS announced in late February that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian technology provider Mindteck to collaborate on the promotion of a locally developed IT solution globally.
MIMOS CEO Dato’ Abdul Wahab Abdullah said that MIMOS’ IP (intellectual property) called Enterprise Knowledge Management System (eKMS), designed for the life sciences industry will be promoted worldwide by public listed company Mindteck.
“The eKMS is the first MIMOS-developed IT technology to be taken up by an Indian IT company,” he said. “The interoperable eKMS framework can also be used across multiple verticals to develop industry specific solutions for the public, energy, semiconductor and banking, financial services and insurance sectors amongst others.”
