MIMOS drives future of RTU technology

MTSSB had the great opportunity to present their Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) solution as part of the Integrated Forecast Operation System during a seminar titled, ‘Revolutionising Remote Terminal Units (RTUs): Exploring Future Directions’ hosted by the Malaysian Water Partnership (MyWP) in Putrajaya.

The event brought together industry experts, researchers, and engineers to discuss the latest advancements in RTU technology and its impact on various sectors.

The seminar took its audience and participants on a deep dive into the traditional functions of RTUs and how they have evolved to meet the demands of the modern era. RTUs play a crucial role in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems by collecting real-time data from sensors, meters, and field instruments, and transmitting it to a central control system. They also enable remote monitoring and control of equipment, making them vital for improving operational efficiency in various industries, including water management.

MIMOS showcased products harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve flood monitoring and enhance communication challenges in remote areas.

The seminar provided a valuable platform for attendees to network, share insights, and explore potential collaborations. By fostering innovation and knowledge sharing, this event contributed to the advancement of RTU technology and its application in various industries.
