On 25 November 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between MIMOS Berhad, represented by the Acting President and CEO, Dr. Saat Shukri Embong, and SDT Inc., represented by CEO Jiwon Yune, and CFO Ohyong Kwon, in the field of research and development of information and communication technology and microelectronics.
This Malaysia-South Korea collaboration focuses on the commitment to establishing Malaysia’s first quantum computer centre, serving as a hub for quantum research and development in Malaysia, promoting the nation’s quantum valley to attract investment.
Both corporations will collaborate to explore opportunities for global cooperation in the quantum technology domain, contributing to the growth of the global quantum economy.
This MoU signifies a significant step towards Malaysia becoming a leader in quantum computing technology. By joining forces with SDT Inc., MIMOS aims to establish a world-class research facility and attract global investments in this cutting-edge field.
