BUKIT JALIL, 11 February 2025 – Malaysia has entered a new frontier in technological innovation, partnering with Türkiye in a first-of-its-kind collaboration focused on quantum intelligence. The tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), exchanged at the Malaysia-Türkiye Business Forum in Kuala Lumpur between MIMOS Berhad (Malaysia), HAVELSAN (Türkiye), and TechInsight Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia), was attended by the leaders of both nations, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, highlighting the strategic importance of this milestone. This initiative aligns with the Nation’s aspiration of becoming a Digital Nation and is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI)’s vision of positioning Malaysia as a leader in frontier technologies, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Intelligence.
This visionary MoU establishes a robust framework for the Quantum Intelligence Infrastructure Collaboration, combining the expertise of HAVELSAN, MIMOS Berhad, and TechInsight to pioneer advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Intelligence. As a strategic agency under MOSTI, MIMOS ensure that the collaboration aligns with MOSTI’s National Science, Technology & Innovation Policy (DSTIN) 2021-2030, which aims to drive high-impact technology adoption and foster a knowledge-driven economy. Additionally, it supports the Malaysia Grand Challenge and Emerging Technology Roadmap, focusing on advancing AI, Quantum Intelligence, and the Digital Economy. By integrating these cutting-edge technologies, the collaboration seeks to position Malaysia and Türkiye at the forefront of next-generation intelligence infrastructure development.
Under this partnership, TechInsight will serve as the business commercialisation partner, driving the deployment of Quantum Intelligence Infrastructure Services across key industries. The alliance will focus on strategic assessments, resource sharing, governance models, and scalable operational frameworks, ensuring that AI and Quantum capabilities are seamlessly integrated to enhance technological resilience and economic competitiveness.
