Dr. Saat Shukri Embong

Acting President & Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)

Dr Saat Shukri Embong obtained his first degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford, Hartford, CT, USA, in 1994 and he was awarded a Master of Engineering in Mechatronics in 1995. He obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2015.

Dr Saat Shukri spearheaded his career when he joined Motorola Inc in 1995 and moved on to ON Semiconductor Inc in 1998 as the New Product Introduction Program Manager. His vast working experience included his career journey with STATSChipPAC Inc, Infineon Technologies AG, Texas Instrument Inc, and Freescale Semiconductor Inc from 2002 until 2008. In 2009, he joined the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) as Head of Technology for Technology Evaluation and Transfer activities under the Technology Nurturing division. A year later in 2010, he was seconded to the Prime Minister’s Office as the Operation Director, Office of Science Advisor to the Malaysia Prime Minister.

He later joined MIMOS Berhad in 2010 as the Director of Research and led various collaboration programmes with local and international industries, universities and research institutions. In 2013, he led the Technology and Product Portfolio Development and Management Group where he supervised various aspects of strategic activities such as providing market intelligence, identifying technologies and products to be developed by the R&D Group as well as bringing those outputs to market. In 2016, he was tasked to lead MIMOS Strategy Office, providing the overall strategies for the company’s way forward related to Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in line with the national strategy to position Malaysia in the top 20 countries by 2050.

In 2023, Dr Saat Shukri was appointed as Head of the Technology Venture Sector and responsible for collaboration and partnership, commercialisation and talent development efforts and initiatives. Throughout his tremendous career, he has successfully developed various new technologies, products and solutions as well as secured various intellectual properties in the field which qualified him to be included in the 16th Edition MARQUIS’ Who’s Who In The World.

Nurezmy A Majid

Chief of Staff, MIMOS CEO and BOD Administrative Office

Nurezmy A Majid exemplifies leadership that seamlessly blends strategic vision, technical acumen, and an unwavering dedication to national development. As the Chief of Staff at the MIMOS CEO Office, she is committed to ensuring the realisation of the President & CEO’s strategic vision, aligning MIMOS’s mission with Malaysia’s technological and R&D aspirations.

Her academic journey, which began at the distinguished Sekolah Tun Fatimah, led her to earn a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from UNITEN and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Essex, UK. These strong academic foundations paved the way for her impactful roles in technology transfer at Flextronics, spearheading new product initiatives and yield enhancement at Infineon, and contributing to policy formulation at the Prime Minister’s Office.

At MIMOS, Nurezmy’s leadership has been pivotal in the development of award-winning sensor technology and the successful establishment of two production facilities—solidifying MIMOS as a leader in advanced sensing solutions. Her contributions extend beyond national borders through her work with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the United Nations (UN) to champion Malaysia’s Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Nurezmy’s instrumental role in formulating transformative policies for MITI and MOSTI, including the Industry4WRD, IoT, E&E Roadmap, and Blockchain Roadmaps, underscores her profound impact on national policy and industry growth. Renowned for her inspiring and collaborative leadership style, she cultivates an environment where innovation thrives and teamwork is celebrated, propelling MIMOS forward as Malaysia’s premier R&D and ICT institution. Abdul Rashdee Abdul Kadir

Chief Operating Officer

Abdul Rashdee Abdul Kadir is a seasoned accounting professional with a strong background in corporate management. His journey in the financial sector began in 1991 with a Diploma in Accountancy from MARA Institute of Technology, followed by a Degree in Accountancy from De Montfort University, UK, and an ACCA qualification from Emile Woolf College, UK. Starting at a Big 5 audit firm, he gained solid audit, tax, and corporate recovery expertise.

In 1999, Abdul Rashdee joined MIMOS, a leading applied research and development institution in Malaysia. Over the years, he has made substantial contributions to the organisation, steadily progressing through various roles. Throughout his tenure, Abdul Rashdee has excelled in finance, strategic management, corporate services, and risk management.

Abdul Rashdee currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing essential functions including Group Finance & Procurement, Group Corporate Human Capital, Corporate Planning, Communications & Branding, Group Corporate Quality, Group Legal & Advisory, Integrated Operations, Fab Operations, and Infostructure, Infrastructure, Health, Security, Safety, & Environment.

He serves as the Chairman of the MIMOS Procurement Planning Committee, playing a vital role in steering strategic decisions and enhancing procurement excellence within the organization. In addition, he also serves as a Chairman of the Extended Senior Leadership Team (ESLT), focusing on tactical and operational decision-making.

Ramesh Kumar Nadarajah

Acting Chief Strategy Officer

Ramesh Kumar Nadarajah is a distinguished professional with over two decades of extensive experience in the legal and technology sectors. Holding an LL.B from the prestigious University of London and a Master's in Technology Innovation Management from the University of Sussex, he has demonstrated significant expertise in intellectual property and technology management roles. His career is marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation, positioning him as a leader in his field.

Ramesh was the Acting Head of the Techno Venture Sector before he was appointed recently as the Acting Chief Strategy Officer. He plays a pivotal role in driving growth and innovation. He provides strategic leadership by guiding the sector’s overall direction to ensure alignment with the MIMOS Strategic Transformation Plan 2023-2030. His vision and strategic insights have been instrumental in expanding the sector's reach and impact, with a strong focus on viable commercial activities and sustainable technopreneurship.

Ramesh’s responsibilities extend to overseeing the development and implementation of innovative technologies and solutions that not only meet current market demands but also anticipate future trends. His proactive approach to fostering an environment of innovation and growth is evident in his collaboration with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and research institutions. Through these partnerships, he cultivates a network that drives progress and excellence.

Dr. Pannirselvam Kanagaratnam

Acting Chief Technology Officer

Dr Pannirselvam Kanagaratnam is a distinguished engineer and scientist with a prolific career in the development of cutting-edge radar systems and wireless communication technologies. As a NASA Fellow, his research has accumulated over 3,000 citations, demonstrating a significant impact on the field of radar systems and climate science.

Dr Pannirselvam returned to Malaysia from the USA under the Brain Gain programme and joined MIMOS Berhad in 2008. His most recent position was as the Head of the Technology Development & Solutions Sector after his role as the Division Head for Advanced Electronics & Embedded Systems. Prior to that, he was the Department Head for Wireless Communication & Sensor Technology, where he led the development of cutting-edge IoT, embedded AI, and sensor technologies to support local industries and government initiatives. He secured over RM 60 million in funding for various projects under the RMK-11 and RMK-12 programmes. Under his leadership, his team's contributions include the development of a Gigabit Wireless Mesh Device, a VHF Long Range Communication Device, an Off-Grid Communication Device, and several IoT systems for smart buildings and manufacturing.

Dr. Pannirselvam received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1993, followed by an M.Sc. in 1995, and a Ph.D. with honours in 2002 from the same institution. His academic excellence was recognised with a competitive NASA Fellowship in 1998 and the University of Kansas Graduate School’s Haglund Prize for outstanding dissertation in 2003. He also held positions as a Research Professor at the University of Kansas, contributing significantly to NASA and NSF's Cryospheric Science programmes by designing airborne radar systems for measuring glacial ice thickness and observing internal ice structures.

Dr. Pannirselvam's patents include innovations in radar systems and antenna technology. His scholarly work is published in prestigious journals like Science and IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing. His collaborations span globally recognised institutions, including NASA, India Institute of Technology Madras, the Niels Bohr Institute, Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC, Australia and the Centro de Estudios Cientificos, Chile. His work continues to advance the understanding of climate change and the development of smart, sustainable technologies.

Razman Jaafar

Acting Chief Commercial Officer

Razman Jaafar is a visionary leader with over a decade of experience in commercialisation, business development, and technology transfer. Armed with a Master’s in Business Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electrical & Electronics from the Institute University Technology, Tours, France, he blends technical expertise with strategic insight to drive impactful solutions.

As Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Razman oversees the commercialisation of nearly 100 MIMOS R&D platforms, spanning semiconductors, electronics, and ICT. He spearheads innovation through technology licensing, strategic partnerships, and spin-offs while leading critical government projects aligned with national digital transformation goals.

With a proven track record in big data, cloud solutions, and wireless technologies, Razman has delivered high-impact projects, including a National Healthcare system and RM100 million Big Data systems. His leadership has also driven regional success in telecommunications, fostering collaboration across borders and delivering competitive solutions.

Passionate about innovation, Razman is shaping the future of technology through transformative strategies and collaborative partnerships, advancing Malaysia's technological progress on a global stage.

Faisal Ahmad

CEO, MIMOS Technology Solutions Sdn. Bhd.

Faisal Ahmad obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Electrical Engineering from State University of New York, Buffalo in 1994. In November 2006, he joined MIMOS BERHAD and quickly rose through the rank to his current role as Chief Executive Officer of MIMOS Technology Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Frontier Novatur Sdn. Bhd.), a wholly-owned subsidiary and commercial arm of MIMOS.

He led the commercialization team, which comprised personnel in various disciplines, since its establishment, before assuming the CEO position in February 2016.
Prior to MIMOS BERHAD, he spent more than 13 years in the telecommunication industry, working in various capacities at Motorola, Ericsson, Siemens and local Companies. He served several roles in engineering as well as commercial discipline, ranging from Product Management, Technical Consultant, Solution Consultant and Product Marketing.
Leading the commercialization activities of MIMOS’ subsidiary, Faisal has secured more than 100 ICT Solutions and High Impact Projects at National level valued around RM430 million, with mixtures of more than 100 different types of MIMOS technology platforms and IPs.

Fauzi Yahaya

Chief Executive Officer, MIMOS Services Sdn. Bhd.

Fauzi Yahaya joined MIMOS in 2007 as a Director with responsibilities to set up capabilities for Product Development. He graduated from George Washington University, Washington D.C. with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1989. He has vast experience in technical and management roles encompassing R&D, Product Development, E&E Solution Integration, and Manufacturing. His leadership roles have marked significant accomplishments to MIMOS such as spearheading the development of the REEV motorcycle, Netbook 1Malaysia programme and Wireless Sensor Network for Precision Agriculture. He has led the Design team towards recognition as the 3rd World Most Innovative Design Studio by Red Dot Germany in 2014.

Since taking the helm of CEO of MSSB, he has focused the transformation plan toward profitability and self-sustenance through the commercialisation of MIMOS products and technologies, services and future-proof activities and solutions in decarbonisation, energy efficiency and Managed Services.

Mohd Mirza Mohamed Noor

Chief Executive Officer, My Digital ID Sdn. Bhd.

Encik Mohd Mirza Mohamed Noor was appointed as Chief Executive Officer, My Digital ID Sdn Bhd, the special purpose vehicle company for MIMOS Berhad in 2023, spearheading the effort in propelling MyDigital ID - a national identity management and transaction signing platform.

He began his career in MIMOS Berhad in July 2012 where he was responsible for providing insight into MIMOS-IET strategic direction from Research and Development and overseeing various aspects of strategic activities to identify technologies and viable products to be developed by MIMOS’ design group.

Mirza graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.

After graduating, he started his corporate journey at Motorola Solutions from 1995 to 2000 where he was also the recipient of the Motorola Penang High Achiever Award in 1998. Throughout his career, Mirza also served in Ericsson before returning to Motorola Solutions in February 2002

Mohamad Sany Yahaya

Mohamad Sany Yahaya is a visionary leader and the Chief Executive Officer of MyDigital ID Solution Sdn Bhd. With a career defined by groundbreaking achievements in technology commercialisation and digital transformation, Sany has been instrumental in shaping Malaysia’s digital identity ecosystem. Under his leadership, MyDigital ID is establishing itself as a cornerstone of the nation’s digital infrastructure, empowering businesses and individuals alike.

Sany’s journey at MyDigital ID began as Chief Commercial Officer before ascending to CEO. He spearheaded key initiatives, including securing Bank Negara Malaysia’s endorsement of the platform as a preferred authentication solution for the financial sector. Through strategic partnerships and an ambitious partner programme, Sany has driven innovation, integration, and adoption, solidifying the platform’s pivotal role in the digital economy.

Before MyDigital ID, Sany made a significant impact at MIMOS, leading innovative projects in aquaculture, agriculture, and advanced predictive maintenance systems. His efforts secured over RM6.4 million in government funding and fostered collaborations with industry giants such as Sime Darby and MAHB. These initiatives underscored his exceptional ability to bridge technology and real-world applications, solving critical industry challenges.

As CEO, Sany envisions a future where digital identity is central to Malaysia’s transformation into a secure and connected digital nation. His leadership focuses on building trust, fostering collaboration with stakeholders, and driving the adoption of MyDigital ID. Mohd Azuddin Parman, Chief Executive Officer of My Digital ID Technologies Sdn Bhd, is a trailblazer in the IT industry with over 25 years of experience driving impactful ICT initiatives across public and private sectors. His journey reflects a blend of technical expertise, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to advancing Malaysia’s digital transformation. From system development to high-level consultancy, Azuddin’s contributions have consistently delivered innovative and effective solutions.

A graduate of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in Information Technology, Azuddin’s career began as an engineer in Oil & Gas projects, where he built a solid technical foundation. His natural leadership abilities quickly propelled him into managerial roles, overseeing complex ICT projects on both local and international scales. His early achievements laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to transformative digital innovation.

Azuddin has been at the helm of high-security, strategic projects such as NIISe, C4i, and Modern Policing, earning accolades for his ability to deliver large-scale initiatives with precision and excellence. Notably, as the Independent Project Management (IPM) Project Director for the NIISe Project, he exemplified the strategic thinking and execution necessary to navigate complex challenges and achieve groundbreaking results.
