Assistant Manager, Corporate Planning

Position Purpose & Summary:

The role of Corporate Planning Assistant Manager is crucial to support Division and Departmental strategic formulating and implementing as well stakeholders management.  He/She will provide support in corporate planning, monitoring and reporting of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the whole organization.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    • To provide managerial support in carrying out duties in corporate planning & monitoring and reporting of Corporate, Sector and Division Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to stakeholders.
    • To support supervisor in managing and reporting of Ministry KPI. These include attending all KPI and strategic initiative meeting as well as ministry year-end planning
    • To provide stakeholder engagement and management role in providing strategic inputs.
    • To provide continue improvement. To help in regular review and refine strategic plans, processes, and performance metrics to ensure that the company remains competitive and achieves its long-term objectives
    • To take up any strategic task assigned by department, division and sector heads.

Relevant Work Experience

  • 5-6 years of experience in business/strategic management and working with senior management team
  • Understand the principles of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and able to relate to all corporate performance area
  • Good analytical skill in KPI and management reporting
  • Professional, tactful and diplomatic when dealing with internal and external stakeholder
  • Strong time management skill and able to work under tight deadline and handle ad-hoc task and changes

Qualifications

  • At least Degree in Business Management or equivalent
  • MBA holder in strategic management prefered

Competencies/Skills

  • Strategic Management skills – able to suggest, develop KKP that are aligned with Company Strategic direction and objectives.
  • Performance Management skill –  knowledge of KPI and familiar with the best pratices of the performance management framework in the market. Ability articulate and execute by cascading the KPI to respective division and owners. Strong analytical skill to validate data for reporting purposes.
  • Effective time management skills – Diligent and able to work under short notice and meeting deadline.
  • Interpersonal skills– Good communication skill and able to work and infuence decision making to ensure all stakeholder’s needs are met .
  • Presentation skills – Strong ability and quality to create and deliver a compelling presentation that effectively communicates information and ideas.
  • Coordination skill – able to collaborate and coordinate across functional role to meet the business objectives.
  • Good writing skill in both Bahasa Malaysia and English
