It was an exciting period at MIMOS with several significant events and collaborations taking place. A visit by the Ambassador of Brazil to Malaysia, His Excellency (H.E.) Ary Norton de Murat Quintella, to MIMOS was a momentous occasion aimed at exploring potential collaborations between Brazil and Malaysia in the field of technology and innovation.
A highlight of the visit was a productive discussion session where ideas were exchanged on how both countries could collaborate to further enhance technological advancements and foster innovation ecosystems. Topics ranged from joint research projects to knowledge-sharing initiatives aimed at leveraging each country’s strengths for mutual benefit.
We also welcomed a delegation from the United Kingdom, led by our President and CEO, Dr Saat Shukri Embong, who highlighted our expertise in ICT and Semiconductors during fruitful discussions aimed at fostering closer collaboration and knowledge sharing with our UK counterparts.
Simultaneously, we had the honour of hosting a delegation from Vietnam as part of SEMICON SEA 2024. This exchange of ideas with industry leaders further strengthened our global connections and set the stage for potential collaborations that could shape the future of technology development.
In another promising development, MIMOS teamed up with the Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) to explore collaboration opportunities. This partnership focuses on capacity building in the semiconductor and electrical design manufacturing sectors, aiming to elevate innovation and technology to new heights.
Additionally, we welcomed a delegation from China’s CSIA and Yangtze Memory to our STC facilities, where we showcased our cutting-edge technology spanning Wafer Fab to FA/MA. This visit opened doors to exciting business prospects and potential partnerships on the horizon.
