The programme focuses on practical aspects of parametric analyser operation, teaching key elements like source-and-measurement unit (SMU) and basic measurement principles like IV and CV measurements. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions to strengthen their understanding of parametric analyser measurement methodology and accurate measurement performance.

  • Identify and operate parametric analyser fixtures and tools
  • Make use of features on parametric analyser to collect IV or CV data in multiple applications
  • Make sense of collected IV or CV curve 

Methodology

This course combines theoretical lectures with hands-on practical sessions. There will be discussions on the theoretical aspects in class and provide opportunities for hands-on practice.

Pre-requisite

Basic electronics. Participants are advised to have a basic understanding on voltage, current, resistance, power and relating electronics parameters. Best if participants have prior experience collecting data with parametric analyser, curve tracer, or SMU.
