18 Oct: AI Revolution Forum registered full house
Co-organised by AI Malaysia Community Group, MIMOS and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, the forum went on a high note as could be judged from the response and interactivity among some 160 participants from Government, industry and academia.
22-26 Oct: Olympiad Nanoteknologi Malaysia 2018
The competition was organised by National Nanotechnology Centre in collaboration with MIMOS and Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Association (MASS). It was held MIMOS in two phases, covering online test and ONM 2018 camp.
23-24 Oct: Regional Conference on Fourth Industrial Revolution 2018
The two-day event saw raised awareness and collaboration among participants including those from public and private sectors, academia, non-governmental organizations and regional groups.

The ultrasonic atomiser system for nanomaterial coating jointly innovated by MIMOS and NSW Automation Sdn Bhd was unveiled at the Graphene Malaysia 2018 event
Dr Hafizal Mohamad and Ir Dr Nordin Ramli received the 2018 Top Research Scientists Malaysia Award from the Academy of Sciences Malaysia for their outstanding academic achievements and notable publications.
8 Nov: MIMOS hosted Empowering the Future Seminar
Renowned business builder and investor Azran Osman-Rani was one of the speakers at this 4IR-themed seminar, which also brought together experts from across the 4IR ecosystem to share their experiences on navigating through the waves of this new revolution.
14 Nov: Deputy Prime Minister briefed on Smart Tadika
Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Dr Wan Ismail made her maiden visit to MIMOS and was briefed on Smart Tadika, a technology solution installed at MIMOS’ on-campus kindergarten.
6 Dec: MIMOS co-organised Blockchain: Beyond Cryptocurrency 2018 Forum
Participants learned and discussed on the latest developments, opportunities and challenges in Distributed Ledger and related technologies.
10 Dec: MIMOS exchanged MoU with Microsoft on AI and IoT development
Under the MoU, a joint lab would be established at MIMOS to boost industry adoption of AI and IoT in Malaysia.

MIMOS is working with Malaysia Rail Industry Corporation (MARIC) to improve commuter experiences, as we support the development of homegrown advanced electronics and ICT technologies.
17 Dec: AR/VR consortium launched
An Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) consortium was formed to catalyse innovation in the area of AR/VR and product design for industries in Malaysia.
