MIMOS straddled two momentous eras in 2017 as CEO Datuk Abdul Wahab said goodbye at the end of July to make way for incoming new leader and third CEO Ahmad Rizan Ibrahim. While we are mindful that our mission remains, a new chief opens a new chapter with fresh opportunities, and a sense of recharged optimism.
After notching key milestones in the first and second quarter, MIMOS moved into the second half of 2017 as a dominant technology provider when the incoming CEO began his journey by building on thriving relationships and establishing new ties.
2017 was, in essence, about a beautiful, seamless transition, about trust gained and renewed, and about triumphs and trials. As we look toward the way ahead, we remain committed to growing our outcomes and developing our greatest assets, our people.
Transition Trust TriumphsIn essence, 2017 has been another significant year for MIMOS in terms of technology development and deployment. Our activities revealed a powerful momentum, which is evident from throughout the country’s innovation ecosystem to the benefactors of our technologies. Four areas of highlights are Intelligent Communities, Modern Policing, Advanced Electrical and Electronics; and FinTech – with Big Data and Blockchain also dominating the scenes. Our achievements in 2017 are thanks to contributions from each member of the ecosystem.
We were pleased with our cumulative results (2004-2017). Our clear vision, purposeful mission and strong values have allowed us to achieve desired outcomes, not only for ourselves but also for our stakeholders.
