Bukit Jalil: Amax City, the first virtual city within Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) and costing about RM5million, will allow unlimited online access to services and facilities through a convenient Internet gateway, was launched here this morning.
The innovative virtual project was set up by Asiaspace Wimax Sdn Bhd and introduces the MIMOS WiWi Technology Platform, which integrates WiMax and Wi-Fi technologies.
[nggallery id=36]Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim, who officiated the launch, said the development and use of innovative technology will propel the country into the next digital generation and for a betterment of life.
“Such communication initiatives also covers cultural aspects and incorporate 1Malaysia values that will bring great benefits to the community. It addresses the need for high speed, low costs and wide service coverage broadband,” he said.
