• Ir Dr Hafizal Mohamad has received the ASEAN Outstanding Scientist and Technologist Award (AOSTA) in 2017.
• It is a triennial award that was established by the ASEAN Committee on Science and Technology (COST) in the early 1990s. It is given to scientists and technologists in ASEAN member countries whose outstanding S&T achievements have been nationally and internationally recognized.

• Ir Dr Hafizal Mohamad and Ir Dr Nordin Ramli have received the 2018 Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM) Award from the Academy of Sciences Malaysia.
• TRSM is an initiative by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia in line with its focus on fostering a culture of excellence in science, technology and innovation (STI).
• It is aimed at identifying and recognising leading research scientists in Malaysia, and showcasing their accomplishments as role models of excellence, mentors to the next generation and leaders to forge ahead with STI agenda of the nation.

• MS ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 in Mechanical Testing  MIMOS Reliability Laboratory is recognised with the International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in Mechanical Testing in October 2011. This accreditation, under the Laboratory Accreditation Scheme of Malaysia (SAMM), covers Environmental Testing compliance to International Electro-technical Commission (IEC 60068), Military (MIL-STD-810) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (IEC 61000) test standards for Consumer and Industrial Electronic Devices.
• MS ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in Software Testing. MIMOS Software Testing Laboratory is the first organisation in Malaysia to be recognised with the International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in Software Testing in December 2013. This accreditation, under the Laboratory Accreditation Scheme of Malaysia (SAMM), demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and the operation of a laboratory quality management system. The accreditation scope covers Functional, Performance, Security and Usability testing.

• Strategic Business Partner Award 2018-2019. The BrandLaureate BestBrands Awards is an annual award organised by the Asia-Pacific Brands Foundation, the world’s only branding foundation to recognise brand excellence among brands in Malaysia and the region.

• Among criteria for the award selection include brand strategy, integrated brand communication, brand performance and brand equity.

• MIMOS has implemented Six Sigma using the DMAIC and DMADV methodology in the areas of research and product development.
