The discussion commenced with guest speaker, Dr Nai Shyan Lai, an Associate Professor at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU/APIIT). As a pioneer in silicon-based quantum computing, Dr Nai presented his research on silicon-based quantum dots and the innovative aspirations behind it.
Conducted semi-virtually, the talk invited MIMOSians and technological experts who had the opportunity to delve into the uncharted realms of silicon-based quantum computing and what the industry offers. Following the end of Dr Nai’s sharing, participants of the event engaged in thought-provoking discussions about silicon-based quantum computing and its feasibility in the present market.
