Rail commuters will soon have a better travel and transit experience as MIMOS is working with Malaysia Rail Industry Corporation (MARIC) to improve rail operations and commuter experience through technology solutions.
The rail industry umbrella body revealed the plan to leverage MIMOS’ technology during the Technomart Rail 2018 exhibition in Cyberjaya on Dec 17.
Under the stipulated plan, MIMOS will collaborate with CMC Engineering Sdn Bhd (CMC), an engineering procurement construction company that specialises in the installation, testing, commissioning, support and maintenance for railway-related industries. MIMOS will implement the plan through its subsidiary, MIMOS Semiconductor (M) Sdn Bhd (MSSB).
The partnership will see MSSB and CMC contributing their respective expertise and services to support MARIC’s rail operations nationwide.
MIMOS is expected to deploy its Crowd Management System, which utilises future technologies such as Data Analytics, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence to enhance route planning, operational productivity, efficiency and overall daily operations for all rail operators.
