Position Purpose & Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for developing predictive systems, creating efficient algorithms and improving data quality. He/She will work closely with the Research team and Development team to identify, evaluate, design and implement statistical analyses of gathered data such as open data, proprietary, and customer data to create analytic metrics and discovery of solutions to business problems that can be solved through the use of machine learning/predictive modeling.

Position Purpose & Summary

Analyze Requirements, Generate Plan, Perform Implementation and Verification for Server and Storage infrastructure and related devices for MIMOS internal and external IT deployment Projects. Manage the infrastructure including attending to change requests, troubleshoot incidents and fix issues as per required SLA and provides related documentation and reporting for the activities.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting on for Servers, VMs, Linux, Windows and storage systems. Provide assistance/guidance to existing/new team members when required.
• Evaluate, advice and perform changed based on request resulted from new requirements or improvements.
• Monitor Server status and performance, analyses logs from server / devices and take appropriate action for downtime prevention or improvement.
• Take initiative in creating novel technical approaches (automation, business process or build tools) to achieve business objectives, while improving support team’s productivity and SLA & Process adherence.
• Work closely with Labs, Engineering and external Customers to deploy IT infrastructure related project deliverables, commissioning with related documentation.
• Evaluate and perform benchmarking to conclude design tradeoffs regarding the architecture, methods, system components and related software.
• Recommend, describes and implements optimal deployment design and best practices to achieve optimum performance.

Enhance network monitoring management and proactively involved in overall operation management improvement. Proactively managed incident management by monitoring network resource utilization and error messages and other system related abnormalities.

• Support on network infrastructures for LAN, Wireless, WAN, Firewall and other network services.
• Handle issues based on network operation design.
• Identifies, diagnoses, solves IT network infra related troubles.
• Manage system configuration information, based on network operation design.
• Create operation design (operation flow manuals) for new users.
• Analyses logs from network hardware devices and devise improvement plan.
• Proactively managed incident management by monitoring network congestion, network collisions, network viruses and other network abnormalities.
• Improve network management and proactively involved in overall support operation management.
• Engage into projects as well as supporting various research labs in MIMOS and related external customers.

Position Purpose & Summary

To design the solutions in detail with the help from MIMOS labs to satisfy customer needs. To plan the closure of the solutions and see through the implementation of the solutions to address customer requirements.

• Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design.
• Identify and setup of right tools based on the best practices and experience.
• Integration of platforms towards the customer solution and able to provide solution to address the problem.
• Involved and drive PoC developments.
• Coding, testing and debugging.
• Ensure code meets highest standards in terms of quality in design and implementation.
• Deal with external outsourcing company to ensure software solutions are properly integrated.
• Resolve technical conflicts with internal and external developers.
• Suggest improvement on tools usage and process flow.
• Support the team by providing feedbacks for continuous tools process improvement.

Accountability

Providing MIMOS based solution to customers (included but not limited to various government agencies) to increase revenue, decrease cost and improve productivity.
